Accessibility statement
Last tested October 3, 2026
Clerks, board secretaries and residents use BoardBreeze to produce public records, and everyone should be able to do that. We want BoardBreeze to be usable by people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control.
Our target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by Section 508 and by California’s accessibility requirements for public entities.
Where we are: our most recent testing (October 3, 2026) found no outstanding issues on our public pages, at desktop and phone sizes. Automated testing does not catch everything, so we are also testing by hand with screen readers and keyboard navigation. If you run into anything, tell us and we will fix it.
How we test
On October 3, 2026 we scanned 12 public pages (home, pricing, sign-up, sign-in, security, how-to, contact, about, blog, a blog article, HOA and templates) at desktop and mobile widths with the axe accessibility engine, against the WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 Level A and AA rules.
We fixed what it found, including darkening our brand purple and several text colors to meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio, underlining links inside paragraphs, and making wide tables scrollable by keyboard. A re-scan of 15 pages, at desktop and phone widths and with the phone set to dark mode, found no remaining issues, including no missing image descriptions, unlabeled form fields, missing page language or empty buttons. Automated tools catch only part of what affects real users, so manual testing with screen readers and a keyboard-only walkthrough of the signed-in app is under way.
Your minutes and exports
Minutes you export to Word use real Word heading styles and plain Times New Roman text, so screen readers can navigate them by section, and they can be adjusted in Word’s own accessibility tools before you publish them. Because you review and edit every draft, you stay in control of the accessibility of the final public record.
